Effects of FldX1 on growth and degradation of 3-HPA and 4-HPA. Cells (p2-fldX1 and WT-p2) were grown for 24 h in M9 minimal medium on (A) 3-HPA or (B) 4-HPA as sole carbon and energy sources. Growth was determined measuring turbidity at 600 nm.
