Analysis of Pulsed Field Gel Electrophoresis DNA (PGFE) intensity. Three types of DNA fragments differing in size were identified: (i) DNA fragments > 194 Kb in length, compatible to mostly intact DNA (i.e., where SCF did not occur); (ii) DNA fragments ranging between 33 and 194 Kb in length, compatible to DNA packed into one to four toroids; and (iii) DNA fragments > 33 kb, compatible to sizes smaller than one toroid.
